Requirement review
Confirm model, configuration, target market, accessories, artwork, packaging, test items, sampling approach and required documents.
QUALITY PROCESS
From requirement review to shipment release, inspection is tied to the approved model, configuration, target market, agreed approval evidence and project quality plan. Sample availability is confirmed by model; S18D is bulk-only with no evaluation samples.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The sequence below is a production-workflow reference. Applicable stages, responsibilities, test scope and records depend on the model and order. A stock order does not repeat a new development and production cycle; confirm what verification and release evidence apply to the goods supplied.
Where surface-mount assembly fits: the surface-mount stage inside steps 02 to 04 is itself a multi-stage sub-process - incoming material inspection, the placement line, appearance check and functional testing. Aging duration, test scope and sampling method are confirmed per project rather than assumed.
SIX CONTROL GATES
A final inspection cannot correct an unclear specification. Our process starts by defining what will be built, how it will be checked and what evidence the project requires.
Confirm model, configuration, target market, accessories, artwork, packaging, test items, sampling approach and required documents.
Review relevant materials and components against the approved project reference before they enter the production process.
Carry out defined checks during assembly and verify essential device functions for the approved configuration.
Run the agreed stability or aging procedure where applicable to the model and project quality plan.
Check sampled finished units for appearance, function, configuration, accessories, labels and packaging before release.
Close identified issues, complete the agreed records and release goods according to the confirmed acceptance requirements.
PROJECT EVIDENCE
Specifications, samples, reports and inspection records are useful only when they correspond to the supplied model, configuration and destination.
Processor, memory, storage, display, wireless, ports, battery, accessories and software scope.
Appearance, structure, functionality, branding, packaging and agreed deviations.
Project-defined checkpoints, findings, corrective action and release status where agreed.
Relevant reports or certificates reviewed against the specific model and target market.
DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE
Available documentation depends on the exact platform and destination. It may include CE, RED, FCC, DoC, EAA, RoHS, UN38.3 and MSDS. We confirm the applicable documents for your configuration and target market before order confirmation.
Review compliance by market and laptop customization before preparing your order brief.
Send the exact platform and destination. Our team checks document availability against the proposed supply scope.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Share these inputs early so the quotation, sample route and inspection scope can be aligned with your project.
QUALITY FAQ
Short answers to the questions buyers ask most often before an order is placed.
Available documentation depends on the exact platform and destination. It may include CE, RED, FCC, DoC, EAA, RoHS, UN38.3 and MSDS. We confirm the applicable documents for your configuration and target market before order confirmation.
Send the destination market and the exact configuration. We review the requirement against the specific product, confirm the applicable documents during quotation, and list the agreed compliance deliverables in the approved commercial documents. A certificate covering one model or configuration is not automatically valid for another.
At defined gates rather than at the end: incoming material inspection before components reach the line, line quality control during assembly, burn-in on the aging rack, final quality control before packing, and outgoing sampling before release. Test scope, sampling method and acceptance criteria are agreed with the project.
LQC is line quality control and runs during assembly, so a fault is caught on the line rather than after the unit is finished. FQC is final quality control and checks function, configuration and appearance before the unit is packed. OQC is outgoing quality control and samples finished, packed goods before shipment is released.
An aging or stability procedure can form part of the project quality plan. Confirm the exact model, test scope, workload, duration, power and environmental conditions, acceptance criteria and records before approval. This page does not establish a universal test duration or 100% test scope for every order.
Confirm the packing list, accessories, adapter and plug, manual language, labels, inspection evidence and applicable product and battery documents for the ordered build. Inclusion, translation, branding and any extra preparation are stated in the quotation. S18D supplied adapter, charging power, cable and plug remain to be confirmed.
Selected available standard configurations may be quoted from one unit for evaluation. Confirm the exact model, configuration, sample price, preparation and dispatch before payment. S18D is bulk-only with no evaluation samples; agree the bulk-order approval evidence, and do not treat a different model’s sample as its approval.
No universal sample size, test duration or acceptance threshold is established by the stage name. Confirm the inspection method, unit coverage, test conditions, pass/fail criteria, handling of findings and required release evidence in the project quality plan.
APPROVAL RECORDS
Agree these before inspection. A named process stage is not evidence of a particular test duration, sample size or acceptance threshold.
Exact model and build, specification revision, artwork, supplied power, accessories and the sample or agreed approval evidence. Mark unresolved items before release.
Batch size, which checks cover which units, any sampling method, sample size and the person responsible. Do not infer a 100% inspection from the existence of an OQC stage.
Test item, procedure, workload, duration, relevant conditions, permitted variation and pass/fail criteria. Record cosmetic and functional requirements separately.
How findings are identified, contained and corrected; who approves any deviation and what must be retested before goods can be released.
Agreed inspection results, photos or records, batch identifiers, open-item closure, release approver and any buyer review required before collection.
Use the specification status guide, batch-release checklist and battery-document review to keep the build, inspection and shipping records aligned.
