Custom Laptop OEM/ODM Solutions

For laptop brands, distributors, education suppliers, enterprise IT integrators and project bidders. Configure an existing laptop platform, personalize your brand, and discuss your market or tender requirements with our team.

SURE ASCENT builds custom-branded laptops. We configure an existing platform - processor, memory, storage, screen and ports - then apply your logo, start-up branding, keyboard layout, packaging and documentation. Buyers work with us for a private label line, a wholesale programme, an education or enterprise rollout, a tender specification or an existing-platform configuration project. Hardware combinations, unit price, minimum order, keyboard options, documents and delivery timelines are confirmed for each order.

Reference platforms you can configure

Four of the platforms we build most often for branded programmes. Each one accepts selected memory, storage, keyboard and branding options within the limits of its own board.

See what can be customized on each platform

Hardware configuration options

We evaluate processor and platform selection, memory, storage capacity, screen, touch, wireless features and available ports against the chosen board and chassis. Some components can be selected within a mature platform; others require a different platform or engineering work. USB-C charging, video output and interface capabilities are confirmed separately for each model rather than assumed from a catalogue.

Memory is quoted as DDR type by generation, and storage is quoted by capacity and interface - for example eMMC on entry education platforms and M.2 SSD on business platforms. Where a platform is offered with more than one processor, that is a configuration choice, not a different product line.

Private label: make it yours

Explore device logo and brand artwork, packaging, manuals and in-box materials, and boot logo and system setup. For a complete brand programme, see our private-label laptop programme.

Send your artwork and the destination market. We assess production methods, artwork requirements, minimum order, sample feasibility and cost for the platform you choose.

Keyboard and regional localization

We review English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and other bilingual keyboard requirements. Depending on the model, tooling and quantity, options include overlays, keyboard membranes, production-printed legends and purpose-built keyboard assemblies. Regional adapter plugs and operating-system language preferences are reviewed in the same pass. The layout and the printing method are part of the confirmed project specification, so a prototype layout should be approved before production.

Spanish for Spain and Spanish for Latin America differ in layout details, so we confirm the variant with your order. See keyboard language options for the methods we use.

OEM or ODM: choose the right level

LevelWhat it coversWhat it needs
OEM / private labelAn existing platform with specified memory and storage, brand elements, packaging and regional featuresApproved artwork and a confirmed configuration
Platform adaptationAvailable configuration and firmware options within an existing verified platformPlatform review, agreed scope and validation of supported changes

Stock supply and branded programmes have different minimums and validation steps. We work from existing platforms and do not offer custom enclosure tooling. Compare the three routes on OEM, ODM and private label explained.

Education, enterprise and tender support

Share a compliance sheet, a required brand and model reference or a procurement document. We review the requirements, identify a platform that may correspond, and set out the documents that can be made available for that exact configuration.

  • Specification review. We compare your requirement list with the platform and mark items that match, differ or cannot be met.
  • Documentation. The technical and compliance documents that exist for the selected model are listed for your evaluation.
  • Deployment details. Asset labels, serial-number lists, shipment grouping, sample approval and warranty planning can be arranged where the project needs them.
  • What we do not claim. We do not claim automatic tender eligibility, authorization for a brand we do not own, or certification coverage across all models.

For education programmes specifically, see education laptops and the education procurement guide.

Platform adaptation

Supported configuration and firmware changes are reviewed against an existing platform and quoted with any setup or validation costs.

Separate assessment

Customization depth, not quantity alone, drives both the minimum and the price. Send the quantity and the level of change you need, and we will state sample availability, any special component and any engineering fee before you confirm an order. See how small an order can start and what drives customization cost.

Production and quality control

Configuration, branding, documentation and production are handled by our team, so an approved programme runs end to end rather than being passed between suppliers. Every project starts from a written specification, and units are checked against that specification before they are packed.

  • Specification first. A unit enters production against a configuration you have approved in writing.
  • Checks against your document. In-line and pre-shipment checks reference your approved specification rather than a general catalogue page.
  • Labels and serials where required. Asset labels, serial lists and shipment grouping can be arranged for deployment projects.
  • Documents for the destination. The export document set is confirmed per market. See compliance by market.

Where a project needs a specific production, inspection or labelling step, it is written into the technical proposal you approve. Read more about quality and testing.

Warranty, documentation and compliance

Our standard laptop warranty is 12 months from the shipment date under the applicable sales terms. Available support and repair pathways depend on the destination, the project and the agreed conditions. See warranty and RMA support for how a claim is handled.

  • Documentation is model and market specific. Documentation available for each platform covers specific standards only - depending on the model these include CE, RED, FCC, DoC, EAA, RoHS, UN38.3 and MSDS.
  • A certification mark is not a blanket promise. A mark shown in marketing material does not mean every model is certified for every destination. Ask which documents apply to the model you select.
  • Terms travel with the order. The 12-month standard starts from the shipment date under the applicable sales terms, and project-specific service responsibilities are agreed in writing.

Questions buyers ask us

  • Can I build a private-label laptop line?

Yes. We review an existing platform and can customize the lid logo, start-up branding, product labels, manuals and retail cartons. The minimum order varies by process, so it is confirmed for the platform and the branding you choose.

  • What is the minimum order for a custom laptop?

Standard stock can start at one unit where inventory allows. The standard custom-programme minimum is 1,000 units per model. A first evaluation batch of about 100 units may be workable, depending on the platform and branding scope.

  • Can you change the CPU, memory, storage or display?

Options depend on the platform. Memory and storage can be selected within supported limits; a different processor, display or port combination may require another existing verified platform. We confirm feasible combinations before quotation.

  • Which keyboard languages do you support?

We review destination-specific layouts, including the main European languages and bilingual requirements. Availability depends on the keyboard assembly and the printing method, and the layout is approved before production.

  • Can I test a sample first?

Sample availability and the preparation of a customized sample are reviewed for the project you select. See samples for how a reference unit is arranged.

  • Can you help with a government or education tender?

We can review your specification and the documents that may be available for a matching platform, with compliance judged item by item. We do not claim automatic eligibility, authorization for a brand we do not own, or certification coverage across all models.

  • What warranty do you provide?

The standard laptop warranty is 12 months from the shipment date under the applicable sales terms. Project-specific service responsibilities are negotiated and written into the order.

  • How do I request a quote?

Send the quantity, destination market, technical specification, target budget, required branding and timing. If you are working to a tender sheet, send it in your follow-up and we will review it against the platform options.

  • Are you the manufacturer?

Yes. Configuration, branding, documentation and production are handled by our team, so an approved programme runs with the people who build the platform rather than through an extra layer.
